Filter Designs can help to diagnose filter problems using years of industry know how. Our industry exposure allows us to understand what the issue may be. If we do not know, we can instigate informed tests or process trials so that we can find out!

In the past we have charged hourly rates for drawing work to allow local fabrication of ducting systems.

We have access to software and people who can undertake stress analysis, computational fluid dynamics to evaluate air flow within a filter or combustion zone.

Often, if an original enquiry is ambiguous due to a lack of detail and available time, we might suggest that we develop an enquiry document for our client to go out to tender with. In doing so, we charge consultancy rates for the tasks at hand and offer to refund these on any subsequent capital expenditure - i.e. if you buy it from us, we refund the charges we have made. This can often be a win win, since to develop a suitable gas cleanup plant takes time to understand the process and variables.

If a local company (considering worldwide applications) can fabricate our filter under an IP protection document and avoid delivery costs, if the client or end user can manage the risks of multiple suppliers then this can often be an economical solution which delivers the plant to budget.

Outside our normal remit, Filter Designs have designed process plants, plastics presses, lean to buildings for clients who know we can help with general engineering projects which do not involve filtration plant.

Our recent Projects

We were contracted to provide 2 small Ceramic filters suitable for a small volume but with a design maximum temperature of 600°C. In addition the filters will be handling a syngas which cannot be mixed with oxygen so an alternative to compressed air would need to be used for the ‘Cleanpulse’ cleaning of the 25 Ceramic element in each of these CPC78 filters. In addition dosing of small amounts of a re-agent is required so the client also opted for a ‘Cleandose’ 25kg bag skid. Find out more about Project CAD below.
