Business Administration Manager

Salary: £20-£30k dependent on skills and experience

Hours of work: 37.5 per week (flexible but between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm).

Location: Filter Designs Ltd., Filtration House, Farndon Road, Market Harborough.  LE16 9NP

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience in the same or similar role. Experience with Xero cloud-based accounting software preferred.

Responsible to: Managing Director

Job Purpose:

The post holder is expected to support the Managing Director in facilitating effective business management within the company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, insurers, colleagues and suppliers via telephone, letter and email in a professional manner

Finance & Insurance:

  • Administrating financial accounts using XERO cloud-based accounting software
  • Reconciling of Accounts
  • Completing VAT & E C Sales Returns
  • Maintaining Cash Flow Forecast in MS Excel
  • Maintaining Petty Cash
  • Ensuring all Insurances are in place and up to date.  Issuing the necessary certification for FDL and key subcontractors and keeping the latest copies on the system
  • Manage the project cost monitors for inputs into cash flow forecast
  • Any other items of a financial basis that should arise

 Human Resources (HR):

  • Keeping all Employees personnel files up to date
  • Ensuring Sub Contractors documentation is up to date

 Business Development:

  • Maintain & develop office administration and management systems for the company
  • Maintain & develop requirements for the Quality Assurance ISO 9001:2015 system
  • Assist in developing contractual agreements and T&C’s as they arise

This role is varied and challenging, and its nature and time spent on various aspects may depend on a number of contributing factors, from the current needs of the business through to your individual skills. 

You will be expected to be proactive and contribute positively to the development of the business.  Specific training in areas needed will be provided.

As we are a small and friendly office environment we work together in a collaborative way, so there may be times when you are asked to cover or provide assistance in other areas.

Our recent Projects

We were contracted to provide 2 small Ceramic filters suitable for a small volume but with a design maximum temperature of 600°C. In addition the filters will be handling a syngas which cannot be mixed with oxygen so an alternative to compressed air would need to be used for the ‘Cleanpulse’ cleaning of the 25 Ceramic element in each of these CPC78 filters. In addition dosing of small amounts of a re-agent is required so the client also opted for a ‘Cleandose’ 25kg bag skid. Find out more about Project CAD below.
