The filter hopper requires 50mm insulation (Rockwool equivalent) and trace heating. The trace heating is required due to the high dew point of the filtered products. If the temperature of the filter hopper was allowed to drop below 80 degrees centigrade (for example), the products can become acidic and cause premature filter hopper wear.
